Journey's Intent, Wayo Africa, and the Serengeti Imax

Jean and Michael were on the very first scouting safari for a new TV series in Lake Manyara National Park. These two overconfident aspiring documentary filmmakers wandered off to the Manyara lake shore where they were investigating a very large die-off of flamingoes. Both of them failed to spot a 5 ton Elephant Bull on the edge of the woodland who were less than impressed about their sudden appearance. 

‘Never run in the bush’ didn’t hold! We barely made it back to the vehicle with Elephant in tow!

That old boy, michaels editing and Jeans hat landed us our first contract with Animal Planet Canada. We were commissioned to film one series for this channel, this became two series and before we knew it we were on National Geographic with a number of shows and series.

Jean from Wayo Africa and Michael of Digital Crossing Productions formed a partnership that continue till today. This new and incredible Serengeti IMAX is just one of many shows Jean and Michael made together.
