iRoHa Garden Hotel Phnom Penh
An intimate urban hotel in a historic Khmer building
iRoHa Garden Hotel is the tale of an oasis nestled in the bustling city of Phnom Penh. It showcases the story of a host couple who have preserved the essence of contemporary Khmer architecture and design. It is also an encounter with an exceptional friendly staff. The special cambodian "feel" comes truly to live.
Phnom Penh is steeped in history, and iRoHa is one of its gems. Amidst old embassy buildings and the thriving shopping scene, where independent artists and tailors create unique designs, a beautiful three-story building is hidden in a garden. The spirit of the 1960s is awakened in this modernist structure, paying homage to Le Corbusier and the tradition known as New Khmer Architecture. This serves as the backdrop for a small hotel with warm smiles. iRoHa offers an affordable and personalized alternative to the many mainstream hotels in Phnom Penh. It is truly inspiring.
A green vista awaits
The rooms are spacious, and the finest feature is a delightful balcony overlooking the blooming garden. There is ample space for you to immerse yourself, lounge on a sofa, or simply gaze out over the rooftops of Phnom Penh, where in this part of town, only a few stories rise along with the palm trees. iRoHa enhances this with a garden brimming with tropical flowers and trees. Moreover, the enticing swimming pool nestled in the heart of the garden serves as a natural gathering point.
You instantly feel at ease the moment you step into this oasis. And you feel welcomed as you find yourself sitting over a drink in the company of the owners and their cats
An intimate hotel
It is charming at iRoHa because careful thought has been put into the interior design. Local designs adorn the walls, and the lighting has been carefully arranged, resulting in a cozy atmosphere that characterizes the hotel. But above all, the staff, with their warm smiles, create a sense of intimacy. You instantly feel at ease the moment you step into this oasis. And you feel welcomed as you find yourself sitting over a drink in the company of the owners and their cats.
Support for local artists
A standalone building with five rooms has been created in collaboration with an artist collective called Theato Project. These artists are deeply rooted in local interior design and architecture traditions, and it is a bonus to gain insight into their work. In the special wing known as Villa Theato, they have reinterpreted expressions from centuries-old Khmer traditions, resulting in beautiful and inviting surroundings. iRoHa supports the local artist collective, and your stay also contributes to this.
